- Thank you very much for your kind answer. It helps a lot to me! I can not wait
- any longer for the Zorro 3 boards to appear for A1200. I am buying a Micronik
- Zorro 2 boards. I know they are not so good, but money is the biggest problem
- for me, as you can undestand. I just started a DTp bussines from allmost
- nothing :-( so I cannot have the best. But DTP on 14" monitor in 8 colours and
- 800X600 flickering is not very easy.
- People tend me to say that nothing is so good than CV, but at the moment I do
- not have an option to buy CV (it would cost me many DEM to sell what I have
- and buy A4000). So I'll have zorro II. What I want to know is - is it worth it
- instead of AGA. Ok, it is MUCH slower than CV64, and I won't be very happy
- with it. But will I be able to work in 1024X768 (with some old 17" monitor)
- without flicker (70Hz maybe or less? this is important) in 256 colours or will
- I be stuck like I am with AGA. You know AGA I guess - working in 256 colours
- is not an option - I rather cleen streets! I would like much, but I would be
- satisfied for now with 256 colours the same speed as AGA has in 8 colours.
- This is aceptable for my work at the moment (and my wallet). So if you have
- any info if this is acchiwable with Piccaso II and zorro II I would be very
- happy. People just say me: get a CV64 or nothing. Everything else is crap.
- Picasso on the other hand was reviewed 1.5 years ago, and at that time it was
- good. Is it so unnaceptable now?
- Do you think I am better of buying a piccolo SD64? I have an option to go to
- 4Mb of memory for 24 bit pictures in higher frequences and it recognises zorro
- 3 also (if and when I buy zorro 3). Maybe this is better, they cost allmost
- the same :-( But I have second thoughts of that, because some people say
- Piccolo is unstable even on cybergraphics systems. Do you know anything about
- that?
- And finally, is it worth getting cgfx? From the tests I looked, Piccasso is
- quite faster in cybergraphics mode than in EGS. I am not sure how this is
- possible (I can not imagine software can speed gfx display with much
- diference), but that's what the tests say.
-
- I hope I didn't disturb you much, but your answer was the most detailed one
- and I hope you can share me with some more of your opinions.
-
- Thank you
-
